Modius is a revolutionary neurostimulation device designed to help improve the lives of people who struggle with their weight by using neuro-technology to help make weight loss easier.

You will have had experience in a customer care position where you have handled a large volume of enquiries and interaction via email and social media. You will have an empathetic yet professional manner and the ability to remain calm and collected under pressure.

 

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to design and develop leading products in the consumer and medical fields for products which provide Neurostimulation to customers/patients. Taking the lead in Electronic / PCB designs from project initialisation to manufacture. Creating schematic and PCB designs for new products and work on current and legacy designs in the production phases.

The role will involve working with suppliers and manufacturer to ensure product delivery. Managing the component requirements to meet volume expectations and compliance requirements for medical and consumer products.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Evaluates Electronic designs of new and existing products, performing on going design reviews.
  • Delivery of documentation for critical analysis and proposed solutions
  • Develop Schematic/PCB drawings and review new/existing drawings.
  • Develop and create new prototypes designs with modelling/prototype circuitry.
  • Design for Manufacture.
  • Manage suppliers and Electronic components in our products.
  • Identifying components for Consumer and Medical applications in line with CE/ISO/IEC/EN standards.
  • Knowledge of Radio Directive requirements and EMC requirements.
  • Collaborate with Embedded Software Design team to determine requirements for microcontroller functionality and peripherals.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical Design team to incorporate PCB into product designs.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other teams to incorporate consumer needs within a product design.
  • Create innovative and functional designs for consumer products.
  • Provide schematic drawings for team review
  • Collate feedback from reviews and take this back to product design and enhance product.
  • Manage Medical and Consumer product compliance and testing (Safety, EMC & Verification).
  • Identify process deficiencies and develop solutions for improvement.
  • Coordinate with Manufacture and supply chain to ensure Manufacturing goals are met.
  • Identify suppliers and manage supply to manufacture with Medical requirements and lifespan of product.
  • Producing Electrical specifications from project initialisation to manufacture.
  • Willing to carry out all other necessary work requirements to support the manufacture products.

 

 

Skill Sets Essential/Competence:

  • Comfortable managing suppliers and team expectations.
  • Knowledge of electrical design, SoC, RF Design and EMC test processes.
  • Knowledge of the RF approval process
  • Knowledge of body metric measurements
  • Knowledge of accelerometers
  • Working knowledge of Microprocessors and Embedded Software/Firmware
  • Working knowledge of Battery Charging solutions including wireless/induction charging

 

 

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/Electrical engineering or similar
  • 4+ years experience in Electronic Hardware Design role with experience of design for Manufacture.
  • Experience working in regulated field e.g. Medical/Automotive.
  • Excellent prioritisation and project development skills.
  • Demonstrable skills using PCB Design Tools or similar software packages for electronic design.
