The post holder will be responsible for the ordering and scheduling of materials and services in line with business needs. The post holder will also be involved in sourcing of alternatives and new materials with a view to reducing cost and adding value.

The post holder will be responsible for the ordering and scheduling of materials and services in line with business needs. The post holder will also be involved in sourcing alternatives and new materials with a view to reducing cost and adding value.
2:1 in a relevant degree or equivalent
Experience in scheduling (raising orders and expediting)
Working knowledge of a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of supplier relationships
Experience of sourcing products from other low cost countries and setting up new suppliers
Knowledge of sage / IFS or similar ERP system
Confident in use of MS Office (esp. Outlook and Excel)
Able to manipulate data
Demonstrated negotiating skills
High level of interpersonal skills
Ability to work on own initiative and in team/ With others
Available to work overtime when required
Good attendance and timekeeping record
Willing to travel as required
Willing to develop role via training, mentoring etc.
CIPS L4 or above, or similar
Previous working knowledge within Fabrication background
Working experience of reporting
Purchasing knowledge/ experience from a fabrication background
Spend analysis experience
Experience of IFS MRP
Vision to see desired outcome and plan / work how to get there
Forward thinking/ solving problems as they arise and minimising risk
Good timekeeping, attendance and disciplinary records are pre-requisites for this post.
