To provide excellent customer service to all of our customers at all times. Have excellent knowledge of our food and drink selection and be able to serve food and drink professionally.

Job Description: Bar Staff with a minimum of one years bar experience and floor staff with no experience required

Hours of work: Variable shift patterns from 09:00hrs until 04:00hrs. WILL BE required for Saturday evening shifts

Location of work: Based at Laverys Bradbury Place but will work at any site under control of Lavery Limited on the island of Ireland

Reports to: Core Staff, Shift Supervisors, Duty Managers and Heads of Departments

Staff responsible for: Floor staff

Job objective

To provide excellent customer service to all of our customers at all times. Have excellent knowledge of our food and drink selection and be able to serve food and drink professionally.

Essential requirements:

  • Have proof of right to work in the UK
  • Have a bank account in your own name
  • Be able to converse in English
  • Excellent skills in written English and Math’s
  • Have a fixed place of residence and live within a reasonable traveling distance to place of work, considering travel when public transport is not available
  • Must be of 18 years of age in order to comply with licensing law
  • Must have 6 months experience in the Hospitality industry

Desirable criteria:

  • ILM2/3/4
  • NVQ 2/3 qualification in hospitality
  • Valid first aid certificate
  • Fire warden training
  • Level 2 health and safety training
  • Formal hospitality linked qualifications

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Serve and present beverages quickly and efficiently, and also meeting company standards by doing so
  • Assist in keeping the bar, front of house, and toilets clean and tidy at all times
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
  • Make customers aware of offers on our great food and drink ranges
  • Speak to customers to ensure that they are satisfied with the service
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in house training
  • Always adhere to our company policies and procedures, and licensing laws
  • Be involved and contribute to team meetings
  • Carry out instructions given by the management team
