Excellent opportunity for a Administrative Assistant (Maternity Leave post) based in Belfast

We have the following opportunities based in the Assembly Buildings in Belfast:

Administrative Assistant (Maternity Leave post)

Salary Scale: £17,345 – £20,056 per annum (£10.26 to £11.87 per hour)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (proposed start date mid-February 2019)

Required to provide administrative support to the General Secretary’s Department.  Duties will include general administration, dealing with enquiries, maintaining a database, and administrative support for the work of the General Assembly. 

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) including English Language or equivalent qualifications
  • OCR Stage II in Word Processing or equivalent in competence or qualifications
  • Experience in a secretarial role and general office duties of at least 2 years
  • Experience in using Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Senior Communications Assistant (Maternity Leave post)

Required to provide administrative support to the Creative Production Department.  Duties will include acting as first point of contact for enquiries, liaising with agents and printers, and updating social media content.

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (grades A-C) including English Language or equivalent qualifications
  • OCR Stage II in Word Processing or equivalent in competence or qualifications
  • Experience of working in an office environment for at least 2 years
  • Experience in proof reading or sub-editing OR a qualification above GCSE level with a significant emphasis on written English (e.g. an A-level in English Language, or a degree with a large written component)
  • A sound knowledge of Microsoft applications
