Technical Support Engineer – Belfast

 

HAYWARD HAWK are working with a major Managed Services provider who opened their Belfast Office only a few years ago. They have since built a very strong team and have a brilliant reputation as both a provider and employer in the local market.

 

Their support function plays a major role in the business, it is essential that their clients receive the best service at first point of contact. Due to several internal promotions, they are looking for a Technical Service Engineer to provide first line support to their clients.

 

A typical day will involve the following:

  • Acting as first point of contact, logging all incidents and requests using their service management tool
  • Advising customer of likely resolution times and keeping them updated
  • Escalating incidents to 2nd line support
  • Working with Windows 7/10, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and TCP/IP troubleshooting

 

Essential skills and experience:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a similar discipline
  • 12+ months experience in a Helpdesk or IT Support role (this can include a placement year)
  • Experience using call logging tools in an ITIL environment
  • Genuine interest in technology and the drive to continue learning
