Our client has been in operation for over 30 years.  They are a family owned business who have grown year on year to become one of Northern Ireland’s most highly recognised manufacturing businesses.  Since opening their doors in 1983 they have worked hard to be renowned for their quality products and environmentally friendly values.  Due to their hard work and high quality ethos, the company has since opened sites in the South of Ireland and the UK.

The Job:

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the successful Stores and Yard Manager will be responsible for the flow of transport entering and leaving the busy manufacturing site.  They will also be responsible for all Store Operatives, Forklift Drivers and Yard Assistants.  Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Operating counterbalance forklift to load and off load materials coming to and from the site.
  • Storing all goods inwards and directing Stores and Yard staff to do the same.
  • Working in busy yard ensuring that it is tidy at all times and meeting health & safety requirements.
  • Working as a part of a team, leading by example at all times in a fast paced environment.
  • Partaking in manual labour duties.
  • Obtaining and accurately entering all delivery administration onto the Warehouse Management System
  • All other Yard Manager and Store Manager duties as required.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift licence with recent experience driving/operating a counterbalance truck
  • Previous WMS experience
  • IT literate to include Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Minimum 1 year’s previous Yard Supervisor or Yard Management experience

Desirable Criteria:

  • Valid Reach and Counterbalance licence with recent operational experience with both trucks.

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm

Salary: £20,000 – £26,000pa depending on experience
