 Job Description

SHEQ officer required to join a rapidly growing team in south Down

Due to rapid expansion and an increased order book, our client, a respected, medium sized, Construction Company, with offices in County Down, are currently seeking to recruit an experienced SHEQ Officer.

Main Duties:

·         Carry-out site inspections and audits;

·         Health and safety point of contact for Project teams;

·         Assist with the development of health, safety, quality and environmental documents;

·         When necessary complete risk assessments and method statements;

·         Maintain health and safety / incident database;

·         Investigate accidents and incidents;

·         Preparation of various health and safety reports;

·         Keep up to date and advise on changes to legislation;

·         Assist with other tasks as deemed necessary;

·         Promote health and safety throughout the Company 

Requirements:

·         NEBOSH Certificate

·         Excellent knowledge of ROI / UK legislation 

·         2-3 years-experience

·         Driving licence

·         Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

·         Ability to prioritise workload

·         Ability to travel 

Good packages on offer, the job will include travel to the south of Ireland and UK wide
