EY’s EMEIA Tax Centre (ETC) are looking for tax and accounting professionals to join our fast growing Tax Finance and Operate Alternative Investments (TFO – AI) team.  The role will give you the opportunity to work on EY’s largest multi-country client engagements.

As a Manager/Senior Manager on the team, you will be the primary point of contact for the tax team at the client side.  You will have the opportunity to develop relationships with key accounts and provide your clients with global tax insights from the global EY Network, major legislative changes which need to be planned for and tax opportunities which could deliver value.

You will be leading client relationships on established accounts, seeking process improvement opportunity in both EY and Client processes and implementing services for new clients.  If you have a keen interest in tax processes and technology you will have the opportunity to use these skills on a daily basis as well as continuing to develop your tax accounting and direct tax knowledge.

Our team

TFO-Alternative Investments is part of the EMEIA Tax Centre’s Global Compliance & Reporting team. The TFO-AI group delivers a range of tax services to clients who have outsourced most or all of their tax function to EY.  They are also responsible for developing this offering within EY and leading pursuits and other market activity in this space.

The focus of the team is to provide end-to-end tax advisory and tax compliance services throughout the lifecycle of real estate, private equity and infrastructure funds as well as other similar investment products in a globally integrated approach. The team has an extensive pipeline of work and they need enthusiastic managers and senior managers to help support and build out their services in the market.

Our clients

You will have an opportunity to work with some of EY’s largest, most complex financial services clients providing you with a continued opportunity to learn and develop.

We partner with our clients to deliver compliance across the organization.  We typically work with the client’s group or regional tax function.

Many of our clients are undergoing major change and transformation in their record to report processes.  You will have the opportunity to work with groups who have mature offshore models and those who need support transitioning to that model over time.

Your role
The below are some of the activities you will be involved with on a day to day basis:
Working closely with key client stakeholders to provide high level of tax technical support and advice, or to procure same from other EY colleagues.
Managing more junior team members and our Global Delivery Service (GDS) team to complete client deliverables.

Provide direction and effective control over budgets and key business processes, balancing operational imperatives with long term future of the organisation.
Supporting the Engagement Partner with Quality Risk Management (QRM), overseeing implementation and adherence to agreed processes, procedures and timetables.
Winning work by proactively managing existing clients and targets, and supporting the TFO-AI team’s Partners and Directors in their business development activities across EMEIA and globally.
Coaching more junior members of the team on aspects of service delivery. Helping team members contribute more by giving them balanced and constructive feedback in a timely manner and acting as a mentor.
Your development
In rapidly a changing world and tax environment, making career choices which will build your skills for the new world of work will future-proof your career.

As well as learning technical skills yourself, you will be a role model for our junior staff as you manage teams to deliver exceptional client service.  You will have daily opportunities to coach and develop those around you and make a difference to their careers.
In addition to delivery, you will have an opportunity to shape our business.  You will be working on some of EY’s largest pursuits representing the tax accounting practice.  You will have opportunities to support the work stream leader in global EY initiatives such as process and offering development.
