My Client is a major food manufacturer with sites across the UK and Europe. We are currently recruiting a Quality Manager to join the technical team based in Dungannon.

My Client is a major food manufacturer with sites across the UK and Europe. We are currently recruiting a Quality Manager to join the technical team based in Dungannon.

The Role:

Full responsibility for advising on all technical aspects of factory production and its environment, ensuring that all products meet Customer and legal requirements, particularly for food safety and quality.  Working with factory team to drive continuous improvement with specific focus on Product Quality standards. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both customer facing team and directly with the customer

  • Product and Process Quality Champion for specified Process Area.
  • Will represent Product Quality at site meetings. 
  • Responsible for assessment of Product Quality onsite.
  • Successful new product / process introduction through specifications, product      information, customer samples, RPIN set up, specification review and creation of product QAS
  • Maintenance of quality management system as per roles and responsibilities
  • Management of Internal audit and food safety audit NCs relevant to product quality or systems role and responsibilities.
  • Continually review quality standards to ensure we are meeting customer and market requirements.
  • Review of customer reports, investigations of issues and detailing of responses.
  • Maintaining customer websites, KPI, scorecards, closing out visit reports, customer complaint responses, implementing COP and audit preparation and close out.
  • Will support operations teams to ensure processes are reviewed to maintain & Improve product Quality.
  • Attend Customer Quality Reviews. 
  • Completion of WIBIT shopping baskets and Product Quality Index aspects etc. 
  • Ensuring all customer and third party audits exceed requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining the Quality Improvement and Complaints Action Plan for process area and customer products. 
  • Streamlining all reporting/process control and monitoring systems within the factory environment.
  • Maintaining site technical integrity

The Person

  • Good level of education.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar QAM/QA role.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000; BRC V7 standard, HACCP, Food Legislation, and Food Hygiene.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills.
  • Team leadership qualities and personal development skills.
  • Initiative, self-motivated, well organised and assertive.
  • Logical approach, excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Report writing and procedural writing skills.
