Project Officer (Craigavon)

VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for a Public Sector organisation for a temporary Project Officer within their Economic Development Department based in their Craigavon office. The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting, developing and delivering projects across the Economic Development portfolio including Key infrastructure and investment projects.

Responsibilities:

Duties include:

  • Assist the Economic Development Officers with the delivery of key economic development projects
  • Develop and keep under review appropriate planning, monitoring and evaluation procedures
  • Provide advice, signposting and assistance to businesses, entrepreneurs and stakeholders
  • Undertake site visits, prepare economic appraisals and assist with the preparation of claims
  • Research and establish links with external organisations and assist Economic Development Officers to submit funding proposals
  • Prepare reports to various committees, sub-committees as required
  • Assist with the preparation of annual estimates of income and expenditure for economic development activity
  • Undertake any other duties that would be required

The Ideal Person:

  • A third level qualification in a relevant subject area (eg economics, business studies, accounting or equivalent)
  • Applicants who do not possess a relevant 3rd level qualification must demonstrate 4 years’ relevant experience as below
  • A minimum of one year’s relevant experience to include the following
    • Public sector project management
    • Project administration
    • Monitoring of databases
    • Use of client management tools
    • Contact/liaison with businesses in a public or private sector context
    • Event management
  • Hold a full current driving license and have access to a car

Remuneration:

£25000 – £27000
