We are recruiting for a Production Operative to join our growing Production Team. As the Production Operative you will operate the plant for the production of bulk and/or packed products.

Kilwaughter is a privately owned, forward thinking business based in Kilwaughter, Co. Antrim, centrally located to Belfast, Ballymena and Carrickfergus. We are a 160-strong team where we invest in growth to ensure a long term sustainable company.

We manufacture and distribute innovative limestone-based products to the construction and agricultural markets across the UK and Ireland and are the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of K Rend, a silicone coloured render.

Working within our Production team you will be responsible for meeting targets through the production of bulk and/or packed materials and plant operation whilst ensuring all safety, quality, efficiency and maintenance standards are achieved. You will be responsible for your own safety and that of your colleagues as well as ensuring effective housekeeping in accordance with company procedures. Being able to effectively communicate with internal and external customers is a key part of the role.

The Job:

  • Operate plant for production of bulk and/or packed materials in line with production targets
  • Assist with improvements in efficiencies and production methods
  • Material waste management through compliance with company environmental system
  • Adhere to company health and safety process’
  • Undertake duties considered by the company as within the competence of this role

 

What You Will Need:

  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
  • Knowledge and implementation of Health and Safety
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Production experience gained within the manufacturing sector
