We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Full time Night Porter in the recently refurbished Maldron Hotel by Belfast International Airport. We are looking for talented individuals with experience in the hospitality industry or ideally previous experience working on nights or reception.

We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Night Porter in the recently refurbished Maldron Hotel Belfast International Airport. We are looking for talented individuals with experience in the hospitality industry.

 

Night Porter

We are looking for a Night Porter to ensure customer service is at its best. Reporting to the Night Supervisor, the successful candidates will be responsible promoting a professional and positive image of the hotel and its operation to all hotel guests and patrons. They will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction within our popular hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • To ensure outstanding customer service for all our guests.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager and nights supervisor with all front office duties.
  • To make necessary preparations in dealing with the arrival of customers with advanced bookings and following the check-in procedures as per the established SOP.
  • To take all opportunities to promote products to our customers and increase customer base.
  • To ensure customer accounts are prepared and maintained 
  • To carry out porter duties, including cleaning and setting up meeting rooms
  • To prepare food as requested
  • Ensure cash handling and key security procedures as followed as per the established SOP
  • To provide guidance, coaching and training to all new and existing Receptionists and members of the Front Office team.
  • To assist the Front Office Manager and Night Supervisor with any additional paperwork and/or reports when requested to do so.

 

Requirements:

  • Experience in a fast-paced working environment
  • Previous hospitality or Receptionist experience would be beneficial, but full training will be provided.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programmes such as MS Office and Opera.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends when required.
