As part of the Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall entertainment team, you are to ensure that the customers’ expectation and experience of BWUH is exceeded through the right balance between value for money and the provision of excellent customer service. You will be tasked with developing key commercial partnerships with a wide range of clients including; promoters, agents and artists to ensure delivery of agreed outcomes and performance levels for entertainment including income, expenditure and profit targets for all aspects of the entertainment business; attendance targets; and customer service targets.

Some of the key responsibilities will require you to…

  • Be responsible to the Programme & Entertainment manager for buying digital media; social media, display advertising; radio, print and outdoors for the promotion of media events.
  • Be the first point of contact for promoters for developing marketing campaigns and reporting on campaign performance.
  • Develop and build relationships with promoters to deliver the best possible promoter / customer experience.
  • Be responsible for identifying sponsorship opportunities for entertainment events.
  • Work with key partners and stakeholder such as hotels, restaurants and local media etc. to maximise customer engagement.
  • Build a network and manage relationships with influencers and bloggers.
  • Be responsible for the development and management of digital marketing campaigns to consumer audiences, delivering innovative and informative online content, relevant to the target customer across all core markets.
  • Work with other members of the wider marketing team to develop and create content for the website, blog posts, email campaigns, social media and digital advertising that is relevant to the target customer across all core markets.
  • Generate and manage website content using the Content Management System for both the Belfast Waterfront and Ulster Hall websites.
  • Develop and manage email marketing to include writing, designing and evaluating monthly newsletters and email campaigns.
  • Assist the Programme & Entertainment Manager with the production and print of marketing posters and leaflets.
  • Assist the Programme & Entertainment Manager in the production of monthly management information and lead on monthly business income meetings for entertainment to ensure the achievement of business targets.
  • Undertake such other relevant duties as may from time to time be required.

Essential criteria

Applicants must, as at the closing date for receipt of applications:-

  • Multiple account management experience.
  • be able to demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples, at least two year’s relevant experience in both:
    • a) managing multiple accounts
    • b) Media buying

  • have a third level qualification in a relevant discipline such as Marketing & Communications, Business Media or Arts

Desirable criteria

  • be able to demonstrate by providing personal and specific examples, at least two year’s relevant experience in both:
  • a) digital marketing experience
  • b) Building and delivering marketing campaigns

Salary: Circa £24,000 plus premium pension and excellent benefits
