£29,000 – £33,500 Depending on experience 

Days and Nights 12 hour shifts (1 Saturday in 4)

The Company:

A Market Leader across UK and Ireland in their High Volume Manufacturing industry, require a Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a full time basis.

The Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance directly to the Engineering Manager. The Maintenance Engineer is required to work independently as required and have a good working relationship with production management and operators.  Completing reactive and proactive maintenance tasks supporting the overall function of machinery/equipment identifying faults and solutions alike.  This is a fast paced production environment and the individual must be conversant with machine maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and support tasks on high speed automated equipment
  • Scale calibration and maintenance.
  • Actively participate in fault finding / re-engineering of plant and equipment and machinery to ensure continuous improvement of all operations.
  • Implementation of Preventative Maintenance schedules and completing associated work Management documentation.
  • Working with electronic/electrical systems
  • Any other reasonable duties as required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Electrical OR Mechanical Qualification, NVQ Level
  • Post qualification job experience, mechanical and electrical experience gained within a high volume manufacturing environment
  • On the job Experience in pneumatics, inverters, servo drives & motors, process wiring and safety controls
  • Able to demonstrate experience of electrical and mechanical fault-finding / problem solving
  • Able to read and understand electrical drawings

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • On the job Knowledge of CNC and PC controlled systems.

 

The Rewards: EXCELLENT HOURLY RATE £14 PER HOUR rising to £16 PER HOUR
