A public sector organisation, with a background in delivering specialist healthcare services to the local community, require an experienced Electrician to join their maintenance team on a long-term assignment. This role is primarily to assist them in electronic & electrical maintenance throughout their healthcare facility based in Antrim. You will be working full time hours, Monday to Friday and this will initially run till around March 2019.
Your new role
You will undertake a range of unsupervised electrical and/or electronic maintenance work throughout a live hospital environment. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance, install tasks, repairs and emergency breakdowns as required. You will be expected to use relevant tools and equipment to undertake all electrical work that arises. You will also diagnose and repair faults in electronic, electrical and mechanical plant and
equipment, along with testing of portable appliances to meet the standards set out in the Electricity at Work Regulations.
What you’ll need to succeed
You must possess a recognised and registered CITB or BITB apprenticeship or hold an approved company apprenticeship. Along with this you must have a City & Guilds 236 part 2 or equivalent with proven previous experience of time spent completing the maintenance of complex electrical and/or electronic engineering systems.
