The Role

This is a permanent, full time opportunity to join a team which is dedicated to supporting our client, a leading telecommunications company.  The team will provide support to our client’s procurement function in the drafting, negotiation and management of its commercial contracts.            

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be part of a team committed to overall delivery of services and compliance with all delivery commitments to the client including drafting and negotiation of a wide range of commercial procurement contracts;
  • Assist with development of templates, playbooks and other tools for use by the team and the client; 
  • Be part of a team committed to continually developing process improvements and continuously improving the service to the client;
  • Work with the client to ensure that the delivery of services is in accordance with agreed processes and standards;
  • Ensuring reporting tools are accurately and regularly used.

Essential Criteria:

  • Law degree
  • Min of 2 years’ experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts within a law firm, as part of an in-house legal team, within professional services or within Axiom
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Regular client-facing experience
  • Good commercial awareness, working directly with business managers
  • The legal knowledge to act as an advisor to our client
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – especially Microsoft Word

  • Legally eligible to work in the United Kingdom

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience drafting the following contracts; contracts for procurement of services such as software services; SaaS services; digital media buying services; recruitment services
  • Operates with minimal supervision
  • Experience of working with or for a telecommunications client preferably in a volume contracting function.
  • Working with a recognised matter management system as part of daily routine
