Excellent opportunity for Lecturer in Science based in Strand Road Campus.

POST TITLE: LECTURER IN SCIENCE

REF NO: 01895/18

LOCATION: Strand Road Campus

DURATION: Until October 2019

SALARY SCALE: £22,609 – £32,778 per annum (plus £2,612 Threshold and £1,358

Deane payment if applicable) per annum

CRITERIA

Applicants must have at least:

Essential

1a a University Degree in the relevant* area or equivalent qualification;

OR

1b a relevant* Level 5 qualification and 3 years relevant* post qualification industrial, professional or teaching experience;

and

2 GCSE English (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Communication and GCSE Maths (Grade A*-C) or Essential Skills Level 2 (or higher) in Numeracy, or NICATS Access Maths Modules, or any qualifications which are deemed to be equivalent;

*relevant defined as in the area of Biochemistry, Pharmacy or Chemistry.

Desirable

3 Post Graduate Certificate in Education or equivalent qualification recognised for teaching in the Northern Ireland FE Sector or be currently registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI).

The qualifications referred to above must be recognised and approved by DfE.
