Having been established in 1969, they have grown to multiple offices and have a position for an IT Program Manager to join their Newry based office.

In this position, you will be responsible for management and delivery of the IT project portfolio in line with agreed business strategies and objectives.

Establish and maintain the IT project portfolio by actively participating in project selection, prioritization, initiation and cancellation decisions ensuring that projects are aligned with business and IT strategies

  • Support the development of project charters, business cases, scope statements, risk assessments, budgets, resource plans and reviews/audits as needed
  • Proactively engage with the Quality function to ensure programs and projects follow the necessary change control required under GmP guidelines
  • Manage the execution and delivery of the IT project portfolio to agreed timescales and budgets with project stakeholders through the IT steering group and functional portfolio reviews

Core skills needed:

BSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or 10 + years’ experience across multiple IT areas with 8 – 10 years relevant program and project management experience

  • Experience working with a robust program or project management methodology (e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent)
  • Experience working in the manufacturing or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience managing large-scale IT programs or portfolio of medium sized projects.
  • Experience developing and influencing relationships with internal and external customers/suppliers/partners at senior management level

It would be great if you also had:

  • Program or Project Management Certified (e.g. PRINCE2/PMI or equivalent)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
  • Experience working in a regulated environment
  • Experience working with a recognized architecture framework (e.g TOGAF/ Zachman or equivalent)
