Graduate DSP Algorithm Engineer –
VANRATH is working in partnership with a rapidly expanding Belfast startup to hire a Graduate DSP Algorithm Engineer to join their team. This business is one of the top companies in their field on a global level and after recent funding the future looks very bright. Some major car, healthtech devices and chip manufacturers have acquired their patented technology in the last few months. They have growth plans to be N.Irelands first billion dollar company within the next 2 years.
This role will support the scientific functions of the company including Algorithm Research & Development.
Develop, configure, document, and troubleshoot complex algorithms
Perform data analysis, algorithm design, validation, and performance evaluation
Developing algorithms primarily in MATLAB
Liaise and provide guidance to other development teams in our clients organisation
The ideal candidate:
Suitable candidates should have a third level education ideally with experience of signal processing and algorithm design in an industrial/academic background and a demonstrated ability to complete tasks quickly and without supervision. They will possess excellent inter-personal skills and be a self-starter.
Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering , Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
Expertise in digital signal processing is essential
This will be an opportunity to get experience implementing filter and algorithm designs using MATLAB
Expertise in digital signal processing and pattern recognition
Developing algorithms primarily in MATLAB, knowledge of Python, C and C++ desirable
Experience implementing biological data analysis using MATLAB
Excellent oral and written communication skills
