Apple Recruitment Services are working on behalf of their Client to recruit a Emergency Gas Service Engineer to join their growing team.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Gas Service Engineer will work on the 24/7 first response for the gas emergency service. There will be a Rota system for of out of hours standby for which additional standby/ call out payments will be made. As a Gas Engineer within the department, the post holder will also be involved with the installation, repair and exchange of meters and other company equipment.
ACS – CCN1 and hold an NVQ in gas installation & maintenance or NVQ Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
A minimum of 1 years post apprenticeship experience in domestic gas utilisation/or heating & plumbing including diagnostics with customer service experience.
Good verbal and written communication as well as relevant IT skills.
A professional and flexible approach.
A full driving licence.
Additional ACS Appliance qualification MET1, REGT1
Gas Appliance service & maintenance experience
The rate of pay is £19,500 – £21,000 per annum (depending on level of experience) and is based on a 37.5 hour week. £10 and £10.76 per hour plus additional payments and a £3000 performance related bonus.
