Financial Analyst (NEW)

Client:

VANRATH have been appointed to select a dynamic and commercial accountant who enjoys getting behind the numbers and adding value to a business. This Financial Analyst is a new role and will include forecasting, budgeting and reporting on all aspects of profitability and margin performance to drive the business.

Responsibilities:

– Provide support to the Finance and Trading departments in all areas of margin, supplier income and profitability reporting, focusing on the wholesale side of the business
– Be a key player in the forecasting and budgeting processes
– Complete weekly, periodic and quarterly reporting requirements
– Be responsible for the production and analysis of key reports for Trading and Finance which are used to monitor and report on all aspects of trading performance and to drive the business

The Ideal Person:

– Qualified accountant or finalist with membership/student membership of a professional accountancy body e.g. CIMA, ACA, ACCA
– At least 2 year’s experience as a Financial Analyst, management accountant or similar role gained in a face paced environment.
– Previous experience of margin reporting and variance analysis
– Previous experience of budget/forecasting preparation
– Strong IT Skills, in particular proficiency in Microsoft Excel and dealing with large data sets
– Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to agreed deadlines
– Ability to build strong cross functional relationships

Remuneration:

Salary will be in the region of £30-35k plus bonus. Excellent career progression is also available.
