Finance Director level opportunity with a high performing engineering company based close to Coleraine. Key requirements are an understanding of cost drivers, strong systems capability, and comfortable working at Board level.

iMultiply are working with a long established engineering company, based close to Ballymena, to recruit a Finance Director on a permanent basis. Applications are invited from senior finance professionals who have operated at Finance Director level, or who are currently at Financial Controller and are keen to make the step up. 

The focus of the business over the next three years is transformation and continuous improvement in terms of how the company operates. Turnover is increasing year-on-year and the board is eager to ensure that the supporting functions i.e. Finance, IT, and Business Change, are best placed to facilitate future growth. In particular, the Finance Director will be tasked with quickly understanding the cost drivers of the business and putting appropriate pricing mechanisms in place, in addition to utilising systems to generate meaningful MI to inform decision making.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leadership of finance, IT and business change functions
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of the business alongside the existing board members
  • Overseeing the planning and budgeting process
  • Developing accurate forecasting and MI generation tools
  • Working capital management
  • Project management relating to business change activities
  • Month-end reporting, year-end accounts preparation, and liaising with external auditors
  • Development of appropriate internal controls and processes
  • Manage external relationships with funders, insurance providers, and other advisors
