Located in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, Seagate’s Springtown facility employs over 1,300 people. Our facility is among the most advanced in the world in the design, development  and volume manufacturing of recording heads. These are the microscopic devices  which write information to, and read information from, the recording disc inside a computer’s hard drive.

Equipment Maintenance Technicians

Reporting to a Technician Manager, this challenging and exciting position gives the opportunity to work at the forefront of technology where you will be responsible for maintaining world-class performance on leading edge semiconductor equipment. 

The key responsibilities of this factory critical role include:

  • Performing preventative maintenance, keeping the production tools within critical process parameters.              
  • Faultfinding and return of production tools from unplanned downs.
  • Assist with the installation and qualification of production equipment.                  
  • Assisting engineering on improvement projects to ensure process capability and reliability of equipment sets to operate within ever tightening process margins.
  • Actively take part and support company business excellence initiatives

Working hours will involve a 12 hour rotating shift pattern (4 days working 7.00am to 7pm, 4 days off, 4 nights working 7.00pm to 7.00am).

Applicants must have a minimum of a recognised relevant apprenticeship and at least two years post apprentice experience in an equipment maintenance, installation or repair position or a BTEC ONC/D or equivalent in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline combined with at least one years experience in an equipment maintenance, installation or repair position.
