We are now looking to expand our offering by recruiting a Junior/Trainee Technical Consultant to meet the demands of our growing client base throughout and beyond Northern Ireland.

TechMet is an established independent recruitment organisation with a track record in Engineering Consulting and Recruitment.  We are now looking to expand our offering by recruiting a Junior/Trainee Technical Consultant to meet the demands of our growing client base throughout and beyond Northern Ireland.   The successful applicant will be 3rd level qualified in a technical field, preferably with consulting or B2B experience in industry.   You will join a passionate team who are totally focused on delivering measurable results for our wide ranging client base.     

As a self-motivated individual you will work within the consultant team and be responsible for managing bespoke client recruitment projects to include; Project Management, post advertising and social media campaigns, resourcing and qualifying candidates, researching potential target organisations and maintaining relationships and managing expectations with key decision makers across our client range.   This is an excellent opportunity to work in a challenging, yet exciting and rewarding role.   As part of our fun, friendly and determined team you will enjoy an open office environment, formal induction process and continuous in house training and development.

As an operating consultant you will be able to:

  • Understand candidates both from a technical and personal perspective, over the phone and in person
  • Manage relationships and expectations of decision makers about their current and future plans
  • Present the company message, handle objections and explain business benefits
  • Qualify new business opportunities
  • Pro-actively target new business
  • Demonstrate professional communication and negotiation skills

Experience and Qualities:

  • Candidates should either hold an engineering/technical degree or have worked in a technical sales capacity with a demonstrable track record in achieving target
  • Ideally you will have 6 months+ business to business sales experience, however technical Graduates with a sound commercial understanding will be considered.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence to accommodate travel to client sites
  • Enthusiastic, persistent approach and a can do attitude.
