Electrical Projects Engineer – Water job in Belfast. Brightwater have been commissioned to recruit an Electrical Projects Engineer for a national Multidisciplinary Consultancy working on a range of property, utilities and infrastructure projects throughout the UK and Ireland.


The Company

Our client is one of the largest employers of multidisciplinary engineers in the UK and have a diverse range of clients ranging from Public Sector, Utilities and Major Developers.

Our client is currently working on a range of projects including water utilities, waste water, energy, roads and telecoms. Due to continued success and ongoing expansion our client has a requirement for an Electrical Projects Engineer – Water job on a perm basis in Belfast.


The Role

Working within the design team, the Electrical Projects Engineer job will be responsible for delivering a range of projects including utilities, wastewater, pumping stations, water supply and treatment.

  • Provide a consultancy lead electrical design according to specific client requirements.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, costing simulations and present business cases for clients.
  • Carry out and prepare site asset surveys.
  • Support the site based management staff in respect of project progress and monitoring.


The Person

The requirements for the Mechanical Engineer Job will have the following essential requirements:

  • Have a degree in Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within electrical design, ideally within the water industry.
  • Understanding of pumping systems and control panel design.
  • Be able to effectively produce reports and present to clients and other team members.
  • Experienced in the in AutoCAD or other CAD software.

Desirable requirements

  • Be a Chartered Engineer or working towards, with a recognised intuition or desire to be chartered.
  • Experience in Telemetry & SCADA data acquisition systems.
  • Water and Waste Water process design and MEICA inputs.
  • NEC3 Contract frame work understanding and use of MS Project or similar package.
  • BIM/REVIT experience a distinct advantage.


The Reward

A salary in the range of £25,000 – £40,000 for the right candidate.
