Duty Manager/Shift Supervisors

Hours of work: Variable shift patterns

Location of work: Based Mulhollands Bar Dromore

Reports to: Directors and Managing Director

Staff responsible for: All staff on duty

Shift supervisor: 1 years bar experience

Duty manager: 1 years supervisory experience in similar hospitality outlet

Job objective: To manage the front of house operation on a shift-to-shift basis, in conjunction with directors, ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times.

Essential requirements:

  • Have proof of right to work in the UK
  • Have a bank account in your own name
  • Be able to converse in English
  • Excellent skills in written English and Math’s
  • Have a fixed place of residence and live within a reasonable traveling  distance of place of work considering travel when public transport is not available

Desirable criteria:

  • UK driving license
  • NVQ 2/3 in hospitality related area
  • Valid first aid certificate
  • Fire warden training
  • Level 2 health and safety training
  • Other formal qualifications

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times
  • Serve and present beverages, quickly and efficiently, meeting our standards
  • Assist in keeping the bar, front-¬‐of-¬‐house and toilets clean and tidy, at all times
  • Keep up to date with current promotions and new products
  • Make customers aware of offers on our great drink range
  • Speak to customers to ensure that they are satisfied with their meals
  • Manage the opening and closing of the pub
  • Be responsible for cash-¬‐management issues
  • Monitor and manage maintenance issues
  • Manage office administration as instructed by the senior management team
  • Manage and maintain correct staffing levels
  • Identify and take an active role in the recruitment of new staff members and booking of entertainment.
  • Deal with customer complaints in a professional manner
  • Deal with deliveries and report any loss or damage
  • Maintain accurate stock control, including ordering, delivery checks, line checks and wastage
  • Assist in achieving all financial targets set
