The Marketing, Recruitment, Communications and Internationalisation (MRCI) Directorate has responsibility for five principal units within the University – Strategic Marketing and Communications; Public Engagement Unit; International Recruitment; Domestic Recruitment and Events; and Admissions and Access.

The focus for the Directorate is the creation of a culture which enhances the customer experience throughout the student journey- from initial contact, through application, admission and enrolment, to graduation and beyond.

Would you like to be part of a fast paced, award winning Communications Team? The post holder will support the work of the Strategic Marketing and Communications Office through organising, monitoring and managing media content; assisting with media inquiries; maintaining up-to-date content on Communication webpages; and supporting Communications Officers with stories and articles. The successful candidate will manage and support the key technical systems used to deliver an effective communications output and provide clerical assistance within the Communications team.

This post is a 12 month, part time post based over 3 days per week. 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English Language and Mathematics or NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Three years’ recent, relevant experience in a communications / marketing role with at least one year’s relevant experience working in a corporate communications office.

Anticipated interview date: Tuesday 6 November 2018

Salary scale: £20,411 – £22,876 per annum pro rata (potential to progress to £24,285 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution)
