Commercial Analyst PreSales Analyst
Our client is a market leading Global Manufacturing and Engineering company based in the County Tyrone area. Due to ongoing growth they have an opportunity for a Commercial Analyst to join their PreSales team in the Cooksown Headquarters. The Commercial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Sales team by providing costing, pricing, quotes and other information as required whilst continuing to develop and improve the team’s processes to maximise the productivity and efficiency of the team.
In partnership with the Global sales team, create a commercial proposal for the customer based on the technical solution to include;
Be the PreSales teams’ point of contact for one of our dedicated Sectoral Head of Business Development Managers and work with them to develop efficient ways of quoting, specific to their Business Sector.
Work with the sales & technical teams to identify solutions for the Customer to overcome any problems or roadblocks that they may identify.
Work with the Sales & technical teams to identify opportunities to enhance the offer to the
Customer and ensure best value for money for the Customer and for the company.
Liaise with the Sales and Engineering teams to understand the benefits that can be offered to the customer compared to competitor’s offerings.
Review and prepare contractual and tender documents to ensure all implications are fully understood and included in the commercial proposal offered to the Customer.
Work with the Sales team to continue to develop the standard format of Pre-Sales documents to ensure that the templates best meet the needs of the Customer in the individual regions and sectors.
Work with the Engineering and Purchasing teams to identify and analyse opportunities for cost reduction and cost standardisation based on observations and feedback from Customers.
Identify meaningful KPIs for the team and implement processes/process improvements in order to achieve them.
Participate in other continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Visit customer sites to continually expand product knowledge and ensure an understanding of site and customer requirements.
Adhere to Company HR & Health & Safety policies.
Any other duties within reason and capability associated with this role

A Levels with minimum C grade
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a costing, pricing, engineering, project management or commercial role
Extensive experience using MS Office, especially MS Excel & MS Word
Excellent numerical skills
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics
Degree (or equivalent) with a minimum 2.1
Degree in Accounting / Business / Engineering
Qualified or part-qualified accountant
4+ years’ experience in a costing, pricing, engineering, project management or commercial role
Experience working in a Pre-Sales team
