Experienced CNC programmer required for an innovative manufacturing company.

We are working with one of NI’s leading manufacturing companies within the construction industry who has gained a strong reputation for innovation and excellence with its customer base.

They are now looking to recruit a talented CNC Programmer to join their team, who will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for programming CNC machines.   

The Role:

Key duties include:

  • Translating joinery and assembly requirements from drawings and converting to machine tool programs to facilitate production of piece parts in the CNC area
  • Providing technical assistance to the Design Department to ensure that design intent is achievable and within budget
  • Ensuring that quality standards and delivery dates for CNC machined items are met and maintained
  • Effective liaison with subcontractors and suppliers (metalwork, CNC, tooling suppliers) insofar as they impact upon CNC development and manufacture
  • Involvement with cost cutting exercises and ongoing Factory improvement strategies.

The Person:

Ideal candidates:

  • Be proficient in Alphacam and have the ability to interpret drawings
  • Should have a good understanding of metalwork component creation and fabrication processes
  • Knowledge of specialist joinery would be an advantage   
  • Applicants must be willing to work reasonable overtime when required

Hours:

  • 40 hrs/week Mon – Thurs 8.30am – 5.30pm; Fri 8.30am – 3.00pm
