Due to expansion our client a well established firm within the Advertising industry currently have an opening for an enthusiastic Back End Developer to join their team and hit the ground running on a number of projects

You’ll be working as part of an integrated agency team of experts in their fields, across clients in all sectors, from Food & Drink and Tourism to Financial services and government – both local and global.

(Essential)

  • Strong understanding of PHP and working knowledge of Laravel / or similar frameworks
  • Developed with JavaScript / HTML&CSS / MySQL and be familiar with API consumption.
  • Working knowledge of cloud services providers, such as Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience administrating Linux servers and comfortable on the Linux command line.

(Desirable)

  • Experience of working with a multi-disciplined team to enable the building of through the line brand experiences.
  • Planning, scoping and developing database-driven web projects and web applications, in a commercial environment.
  • Have a working understanding of social platforms, viral channels and distribution methods.
  • Share information, ideas and best practice with other members of the development & creative teams.
  • Integration of front end builds into a CMS.
  • Maintaining existing client websites within their respective frameworks.
  • Using your ability to improvise, troubleshoot, and learn new skills on the job.
  • Carrying out testing and quality control of design to development.
  • Having an understanding of graceful degradation and progressive enhancement.
  • Working as part of a greater project team, present ideas, concepts and designs to Clients as and when required.
  • Researching, learning and adapting to new digital design technologies/solutions for browsers and devices as they become available.
