Assistant Project Manager – Civil Consultancy job in Belfast. Brightwater have been commissioned to recruit an Assistant Project Manager for a leading national Multidisciplinary Infrastructure Consultancy working on a range of property, utilities and infrastructure projects throughout Northern Ireland.

The Company

Our client is one of the largest employers of multidisciplinary engineers in the UK and have a diverse range of clients ranging from Public Sector, Utilities and Major Developers.

Our client is currently working on a range of projects including water utilities, waste water, energy, roads and telecoms. Due to continued success and ongoing expansion our client has a requirement for an Assistant Project Manager Infrastructure on a perm basis in Belfast.

The Role

Working within the Infrastructure Project Management Delivery team, the Assistant Project Manager Infrastructure job will be responsible for delivering and assisting the Project Manager in a range of projects including utilities, wastewater, pumping stations, water supply and treatment.

  • Coordinate feasibility studies involving design, planning and procurement teams.
  • Undertake construction stage project management, overseeing contractors.
  • Liaise with clients, external and internal stakeholder of the project.
  • Ensure Project financial performance and delivering within budget.
  • Ensuring Projects are administered correctly.

The Person

The requirements for the Assistant Project Manager Civil Engineer job will have the following essential requirements:

  • Have a degree in a Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other Construction related subject.
  • 2 years’ experience working for contractor or consultancy, ideally civils / water based.
  • Good planning and organising and team management skills.
  • Understanding of NEC3 Project Management contract frame works.

Desirable requirements

  • Water and Waste Water process design and construction activities.
  • BIM/REVIT experience a distinct advantage.

The Reward

A salary in the range of £25,000 – £30,000 for the right candidate.
