About the Role
We are expanding and seeking an Assistant Landscape Architect to join our dynamic team in Belfast. This role involves the design of schemes from conceptual stage through to implementation. Whilst supporting Senior Landscape Architects on the design side and with business development work, the role will also require you to work independently. You will liaise with other members of the RPS Planning & Environmental Team to deliver an effective service to our clients across a wide range of projects from small scale housing developments up to town centre public realm schemes. Based in Belfast there may be some travel throughout the UK and Ireland. This role will provide wide ranging experience and mentoring, as well as support with the Pathway to Chartership.
Ideally you will have a BA (Hons) or MA in Landscape Design (Part III) or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a landscape architecture team doing the design and drawing for both soft and hard landscape projects. A team player with good design and presentation skills you will enjoy being involved in design schemes from concept through to implementation, as well as master planning and landscape and visual assessments. You should possess plenty of initiative and be able to communicate effectively within a team and with clients. Excellent reporting skills and good attention to detail are essential. You will need a driving licence and enjoy working within a sometimes pressured and challenging but ultimately rewarding environment. Experience using AutoCAD as part of a design team is also required.
