 Job Description

Accounts Assistant - Permanent Full Time based in Claudy, Co.Derry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has one years experience in an accounts assistant role elsewhere.

We are Season Harvest – a family run fruit and vegetable wholesaler and distributer based in Claudy, Co. Derry.

We require an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our fast paced Accounts Office.  As an Accounts Assistant you will provide administrative and accounts support to the team as well as deal with customers and external suppliers.  An ability to be discreet, diplomatic, reliable and trustworthy, and prioritise and communicate well would help you in this job.

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
  • Managing petty cash transactions – in both Sterling and Euro
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Matching invoices
  • Calculating and checking to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct.
  • Sorting out incoming and outgoing daily post and answering any queries. 
  • Controlling credit and chasing debt. 
  • Reconciling finance accounts and direct debits
  • Answering incoming calls

 Essential Criteria 

  • A minimum of one years’ experience in a busy accounts office
  • Excellent cash handling experience
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook
  • Working knowledge of Sage 50
  • A passion for numbers, accuracy and skills in calculating figures is vital, as is adeptness at paying attention to detail.
  • A minimum of 2 GCSEs including Maths and English.
  • The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
