We are working alongside a leading employer to recruit an Accounts Assistant.

This is a permanent role and the successful candidate will be part of the Accounts Team.

Overview

The Accounts Assistant will be dealing with a range of accounts queries whilst meeting deadlines and targets.

Duties:

  • Processing information onto Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
  • Posting customer payments
  • Completion of bank Reconciliations
  • Credit control
  • Matching orders to invoices and coding of purchase invoices
  • Issuing monthly customer statements
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to supplier accounts
  • Preparation of monthly cheque runs
  • Processing all miscellaneous payments

Criteria/Essential Experience:

  • Previous experience in a financial environment – accounts payable/receivable, credit control, financial administration
  • Good IT Skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work to strict deadlines
  • Good customer service skills, and confident telephone
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Excel
