Supply Chain & Logistics Job:  Transport Co-Ordinator Job:  Our client based in Lisburn require a Transport Co-Ordinator for their busy Warehouse and Distribution site.  Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, the successful Transport Co-Ordinator will assist the Transport Team to reach KPI’s and will work to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

Our client is one of the largest haulier companies in both the North and the Republic of Ireland.  Servicing customers in Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland, UK and Europe, this is an exciting time to be joining a company who have experienced year on year growth.  Our client has been in operation for over forty years and in that time have grew to offer both delivery and storage of Frozen, Chilled and Ambient goods. 

The Job:

Reporting directly to the Transport Manager, the successful Transport Co-Ordinator will be responsible for booking on loads, communicating with customers and drivers, reporting any issues along the way to the Transport Manager.  Duties will include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Liaising with customers and drivers ensuring a professional, efficient, cost-effective service is provided at all times
  • Associated administrative duties e.g. order processing, delivery/project completion documentation, invoicing
  • KPI reporting
  • Operating the clients ERP System to track service delivery times or flag any issues with the service level available
  • Alert drivers of changes to schedules
  • Provide the highest level of customer service and obtain detailed information from the customer relaying this to drivers in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain a polite, highly efficient and accurate service at all times in a high pressured and fast paced environment.

 

Essential Criteria:

  • 5 GCSE’s (Grade C or above) to include Mathematics and English
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a Transport Office setting
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Transport Co-Ordinator/Planner role
  • Sound Geographical knowledge of North and South of Ireland
  • Detailed CPC knowledge and strong awareness of Driver hours
  • Fluent English Language, both written and oral

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Qualification in Supply Chain and Logistics, Transport and Distribution or similar
  • Previous Warehouse and Logistics Co-Ordination experience

 

Hours of Work:  Monday to Friday 8am to 5:30pm (Some Saturday work may be expected over peak periods)

 

Salary: £20000-£23000pa depending on experience
