VANRATH are pleased to be working with one of the most exciting new entrants to Belfast’s Cyber Security market in looking for a Technical Product Support Manager. The company will be rapidly expanding its team over the next 3 months to build a product support centre and are looking to build a great office environment and interesting place to work

The Role

As the Technical Product Support Manager you will report directly into the Director of EMEA support and you will be responsible for effectively leading a team of highly technical and skilled Product Support Engineers that provides technical support services for customers, partners and prospects, handling a business and mission-critical security products deployed in major companies from various business sectors. You will oversee the activities and resources of your team to resolve technical issues of the products, answer product questions and assist with deployments.

The main duties of the role would be:

  • Show your passion for Technology and recognize new tools and services that will assist in continuous development for the company
  • Provide mentorship for employees, help grow their careers and provide guidance and training.
  • Build strong client relationships and serve as an escalation point for any serious problems.
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems where necessary
  • Collaborate with internal teams to help streamline and automate processes

The Person

The ideal candidate must be able to display the following:

  • 5+ years experience of Management of a Technical Support Team, leading at least 5 engineers
  • 5+ years experience in a technical role
  • Enthusiasm for security and technology
  • Great Customer Support ability
  • Analytical thinker
  • Great communication skills

Preferred Skills

  • 3 Years Hands troubleshooting experience with any of the following (OSI Midel and concept, TCP, Linux/Unix Servers, Windows Servers, Network Devices, Network application security, Network Sniffers, Scripting or coding language
  • Knowledge of Support Methods
  • Knowledge of IT Cyber Security market and companies
  • Knowledge of Cloud concept

Remuneration

The salary is negotiable depending on experience but would be 50-70k along with a great benefit package and a unique opportunity to be involved in building a team from scratch and setting the office culture.
