Talent Specialist (Law)

VANRATH is presently partnering with a global law firm based in central Belfast, seeking to appoint a Talent Specialist on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.

Reporting into the HR Manager you will be responsible for all recruitment and talent related requirements on site.

This is a newly created role for a very successful global company who are currently experiencing a period of sustained growth.


  • Take responsibility for identifying, setting up and evaluating effective channels for attracting direct candidates,
  • Work closely with hiring managers to develop and refine the recruitment strategy
  • Advise on recruitment best practice
  • Recruit key roles within the business ensuring that the correct competencies, values and behaviours are identified within the candidates you’re putting forward
  • Monitor candidate engagement throughout selection process
  • Continually review the hiring process
  • Utilise and develop the use of the ‘e recruitment system to maximise management information outputs and build the talent bank

The Ideal Person:

The successful person should have a strong recruitment background, ideally gained within a legal environment/sector, either in-house or agency based.

You must have experience of sourcing candidates for a variety of roles and levels, with the ability to identify and utilise various channels including online job boards, social media, local and regional universities, referrals, networking groups etc and be proactive in your approach.

Strong influencing skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholder requests and time frames, capable of providing tangible evidence and fact based reasoning.


£30 – 40k depending on experience + benefits
