Manpower is recruiting for a Supply Chain Manager on behalf of a successful food manufacturer in Co Down.
This role will sit on the senior management team and be responsible for leading the supply chain function, managing incoming and outgoing logistics, storage, staff management and financial budgets.
Our client are an award winning quality food producer with a host of reputable customers and contracts, continually diversifying their product range.
We are looking for an experienced professional within Supply Chain/Logistics, preferably experienced with end to end supply chain functions and management experience.

You will report to the Operations Director and lead all logistic operations covering warehouse, planning, you will also work with the purchasing team and manage suppliers effectively to maintain correct stock levels.
Carry out planning for seasonal business periods, managing storage and distribution efficiently to deliver a highly effective logistics operation.
Implement department metrics and reporting lines, manage staff and performance through the management team
Ensure safe working practices are applied throughout relevant departments
Lead supply chain projects to drive forward business efficiencies at optimal cost
What we are looking for:
Minimum of 3 years experience within supply chain management role logistics management
Educated to third level and qualification in Logistics or Supply Chain management
A strong communicator with people management experience
Excellent project and programme management skills in Supply Chain
An excellent understanding and appreciation of an ‘end to end’ supply chain
A ‘Safety First’ approach
Previous experience within food manufacturing or a CIPS qualification would be beneficial
