Software Support Engineer - Belfast

Software Support Engineer

 

Hayward Hawk are working with one of the fastest growing and best respected companies in their field. This client is pretty new to Belfast, and they’re really making their mark already. They’re now growing their support team, and are looking for a Software Support Engineer to join.

 

Working as part of a wider team of analysts, a typical day will involve the following:

  • First and second line support for API issues within the set SLA, resolving problems and working in line with the company incident management policy
  • Testing new software before release
  • Monitoring the client and system connectivity, spotting any issues and resolving
  • Incident logging using the client’s system
  • Creating test packs for new platforms

 

You’ll ideally have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a Customer Services Environment – Help Desk or Application Support
  • Experience with using it Service Management tools for logging and tracking user calls
  • Experience supporting software on Linux / Unix and Windows OS
  • Good communication skills for building relationships with the client and users
