New, permanent Senior HR Officer role for a leading, multi-site, commercial organisation. Headquartered in Belfast. Excellent salary & benefits.

Our Client is a large, Group headquartered in Belfast.  Due to continued growth and success, they wish to appoint an experienced Senior HR Officer.  This is a permanent HR Officer job, supporting a large, multi-site workforce.  The successful HR Officer/HR Advisor will provide advice, support and guidance across the healthcare and service based business areas.  This will involve handling issues relating to disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management and maternity/paternity.  This HR Officer job will be primarily based in Belfast, however, there may be travel to other company sites so a full driving license and access to transport is essential.


The Role:

  • Dealing with employee relations, predominantly capability/performance management and grievances
  • Responsible for handling short and long-term absence
  • Managing complex employee relations issues
  • Manage the full, end to end recruitment process
  • Provide advice, guidance and support on a wide range of HR issues
  • Chair/facilitate/arrange investigation meetings, disciplinary hearings, grievance and appeal hearings
  • Assist and advise Managers with performance, appraisals and probationary reviews
  • Monitoring levels of long and short-term absence
  • Ensure the computerised and manual HR records are updated and well maintained


The Person:

  • Associate CIPD
  • 3-5 years’ experience at HR Officer level
  • Demonstrable experience of handling complex employee relations issues
  • Experience of assisting with the development of company policies and procedures
  • Full driving license and access to transport
