Senior Finance Manager – Exclusive

Client:

VANRATH are exclusively recruiting for a Senior Finance Manager to Head up the Finance Function of a recently acquired US Subsidiary of a profitable Manufacturing business. This is an outstanding opportunity for a Commercial Accountant/ experienced Financial Controller to act as a true business partner in a leadership role within a successful company.

Responsibilities:

– Direct the development and preparation of financial reporting packages and analysis that support internal and external reporting requirements
– Manage the finance and accounting team including recruitment and training;
– Responsible for the annual plan and quarterly forecast reviews;
– Perform post review and forward planning, explaining variances in trends;
– Business support – spending and month-end variances analysis;
– Manage the preparation and review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, reserves, inter-company transactions and eliminations;
– Establish, implement, and administer internal control policies, procedures and protocol for operations and manage and document controls and procedures to ensure effectiveness and compliance with Company specific procedures;
– Working in a changing environment driving process changes and integration of Corporate policies and procedures
– Manage Inventory reporting and understand manufacturing process flows to aid the business with decision making;
– Support projects for introduction of new product and manufacturing efficiencies;
– Ensure timely and accurate country specific filings including statutory accounts and taxation;
– Ensure accuracy of cross border transactions and currency translation;
– Implement appropriate US GAAP requirements and operate within application to UK GAAP and understand accounting differences between US GAAP and UK GAAP;
– Ensure Accounts Receivable collection targets, DSO targets and deliverables are met in line with Company requirements;
– Drive process and reporting improvements and standardization efforts

The Ideal Person:

– Qualified Accountant with 10 years of accounting / financial analysis experience ideally with relevant international experience.

– Demonstrable experience of Finance Business Partnering;
– Experience implementing new systems, policies, procedures and controls, in a multi-national environment;
– Previous experience of working in a manufacturing company
– Ability to effectively lead, communicate, influence and motivate people
– Strong analytical skills with exceptional follow-up and sense of urgency
– Ability to deal with complex accounting issues
– Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
– High energy and initiative for continuous improvement

Remuneration:

Salary will be in the region of c£55-60k and will be tailored to attract the strongest candidates in the market.
