We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a:

Company Background

Our client supplies a wide range of premium brand food concepts and solutions to the foodservice markets throughout Ireland. The range includes artisan breads, thaw & serve bakery and retail products normally associated with a foodservice company. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the most progressive food companies based in Northern Ireland

Package

Salary €30k-€35k (based on specific experience) + Commission+ expenses + car , 40hr week, 28 days holiday. Ideally Dublin based.

Summary Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing existing customers’ accounts to their full potential, identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive journey planning. Reporting to the Sales manager.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop new business through cold calling and organised journey plans.

  • Developing existing customers to sell and promote the full range of Foodservice and Retail products

  • Maximising sales opportunity on each customer visit

  • Preparation of customer quotations and ensuring customer pricing is accurate from first delivery and credit terms achieved

  • Developing the professional relationship with customers

  • Selling periodic promotions to achieve sales targets

  • Professionally handling customer queries ensuring resolution

Desirable skills and experience

  • 2-3 years’ experience in food sales

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Proficient IT skills

  • Demonstrate excellent organisational skills

  • Proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

  • Accuracy in recording information and attention to detail

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Good team player who is flexible and reliable in their approach
