Purchasing Controller (Engineering) role in Co.Armagh
Your new company
Working for a leading and well-established UK employer, this firm has grown massively over the years and just established a new collaboration with a US firm which will promote expansion in the coming months. Due to new projects emerging, they are seeking a Purchasing Controller to join their expanding engineering procurement team on a full time permanent basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will work cooperatively with company Buyers to place orders on all engineering raw materials and spare parts using internal MRP/ERP software. The Purchasing Controller will stay in consistent communication with both UK and globally based suppliers to keep track of material lead times and delivery schedules whilst focusing on cutting costs on materials by strategic negotiation. Also, you will monitor stock and inventory levels by forecasting for demand schedules alongside running weekly reports on expenditure and supplier performance.
What you’ll need to succeed
Your previous years’ experience in a high volume procurement or supply chain role will lead to success along with a desirable background in the mechanical or electrical engineering industry. Also, you will be IT literate with knowledge of raising purchase orders and material planning on MRP/ERP software with further ability to negotiate costs with key suppliers and work on your own initiative.
What you’ll get in return
The successful candidate will join a growing business with ever expanding departments which always presents opportunities for employees to progress internally. You will be rewarded with a fully negotiable salary based on the NI market average, flexible working hours, inclusion to a company wide benefits scheme, free onsite parking, employer pension contributions and comprehensive internal training.
