Vickerstock are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for our leading manufacturing client. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for assisting with various functions within a busy accounts environment and will report directly to the Accounts Office Supervisor.

Key Duties

The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for the following;

  • Posting customer payments
  • Reconciling Sales Ledger and Bank
  • Processing information onto Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Payroll
  • Matching purchase orders to invoices, coding or purchasing invoices
  • Processing authorised purchase invoices to appropriate supplier account
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements to supplier accounts
  • Prepare monthly cheque runs
  • Process all miscellaneous payments when required
  • General Admin duties when required

Essential Criteria:

The Purchase Ledger Clerk must be able to demonstrate to following;

  • 2 Years minimum experience in a busy accounts office
  • Excellent working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft Navison desirable but not necessary
  • Previous experience within a Manufacturing/Engineering industry already desirable
