Project Manager/ Site manager for a construction side consultancy in the Belfast area. A prominent company within the general build and refurbishment sectors.

Our client is construction side consultancy in the Belfast area. A prominent company within the general build and refurbishment sectors. They are going through a period of sustained growth with a substantial pipeline of tender awards and long term main contractor relationship.

We are currently looking to recruit on a permanent basis a Senior Project Engineer/Manager.

Our client’s projects cover a wide range of building services and sectors for new build and refurbishment, generally for contract values between £50k and £10m.

The preferred candidate would reside within a one hour commute of their Belfast offices.

General Description:

To carry out all duties and tasks associated with effective project management of multiple contract projects from estimate handover to project conclusion, including defect liability periods.

Role would include but not be limited to the following duties/responsibilities:

  • Handover from Estimating Department to Projects Department.
  • Responsible for planning and programming to meet client agreed commencement and completion dates within contract documents.
  • Responsible for technical submissions and gaining approved status.
  • Responsible for procurement of materials, plant, equipment and sub-contractors to meet specification and programming requirements.
  • Responsible for all project H&S requirements, RAMS etc.
  • Responsible for site supervision of labour and sub-contractors.
  • Responsible for ensuring that installations meet with tender document specifications criteria, drawings etc and all to a good standard of workmanship.
  • Responsible for ascertaining valid variations and liaising with Commercial Department for interim claims and final accounts.
  • Responsible for liaising adequately with client, client representatives and attending meetings as required.
  • Responsible for all commissions.
  • Responsible for timely preparations and issue of O&M’s, as fixed drawings etc.
  • Responsible for timely close out of all snagging items.
  • Responsible for all matters arising where defects liabilities apply.
  • General site visits as necessary.

Salary;

This role would attract a salary of up to £60k, plus benefits package, dependent upon experience and skills.
