MCS Group is recruiting for a Product Development Manager for a major manufacturing organisation based in Co. Tyrone.

MCS Group is delighted to be working with a highly innovative, global leader in the packaging sector to recruit a talented Product Development Manager to join their exceptional leadership team based in Dungannon.

This is a leadership role in the business where you will have the opportunity to work very closely on influencing the Product & Process Development within a global business.

In this role you can expect to develop and deliver at a strategic level plan for existing and new product development range in line with strategic business goals.

This is a partnership driven role, where you will engage with customers to understand the needs of the end user and understand production capabilities to provide technical expertise in the development of value added products. This will involve coordinating design, tooling, sampling, prototype process right through to successful launch and completion. You will get heavily involved in developing the investment cases, implementation and agreeing budgets.

As a role model within the business you will demonstrate strong leadership and visionary capabilities within production, design and sales areas to deliver excellent results through structured project management.

You will initiate and lead proactive product development based on a sound understanding of current market trends and anticipated market needs.

The successful candidate: –

  • You will have a minimum HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Design or Polymer Engineering or 6+years highly relevant experience in a development engineering management role. A degree would be highly preferable
  • You will demonstrate 2-3 years industrial experience in a similar development engineering field, preferably in a directly relevant polymer processing or packaging environment, with excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills. It’s important that you have strong planning and presentation skills alongside the ability to project manage using a structure/recognised methodology. Your experience will cover change management, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing with an innovative proactive approach.
