Job description: OSCSB/0918 Job title: OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR Location: BOUCHER ROAD, BELFAST
MacBlair Central Stores, part of the MacBlair Group, is the central distribution facility to the Group’s merchanting businesses which supplies our Builders Merchanting branch network across Northern Ireland and in the Isle of Man.
An opportunity has become available for a dedicated self-motivated person to fill the following position.
Reporting to the Central Stores Manager, the successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of yard and warehouse staff ensuring all company systems are adhered to.
The successful applicant will undertake key tasks and duties including, maintaining stock levels, stock purchasing, order picking and liaising with suppliers and our branch network while assembling orders for delivery to our branch network, ensuring same are correctly loaded, and making sure supplier lorries are unloaded and stock put away while maintaining excellent levels of housekeeping at all times.
Skills & Experience
Applicants should have previous supervisory experience gained in a similar role, relevant experience of working in a warehouse environment with experience of stock control and purchasing.
Other key attributes include having a sound operational and commercial awareness and proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications.
