The Client:

Our client a local solicitor’s organisation with over 30 years experience and excellent reputation are seeking a newly qualified solicitor who has specialised in criminal law to join their team.

The Role

Due to continued growth, our Client, a highly successful Law Firm, to recruit a NQ Solicitor to join their team.

This company have excellent credentials and focus on developing their in-house talent.

The successful candidate can expect a highly negotiable/competitive salary and benefit package to reflect experience in an already busy department.

You will be required to undertake the following duties:

  • Representing clients and advising them on their legal situation from court proceedings to small disputes behind closed doors, it’s your job to act in your client’s best interest
  • Attending court hearings (and doing the preparation beforehand
  • Negotiating (not all cases will end up in court)
  • Explaining the law and giving general legal advice
  • Settling disputes and supervising any agreements
  • Researching and gathering evidence
  • Analysing legal documents
  • Supervising legal assistants.

Requirements

  • Hold LLB or LLM in Legal studies at 2:1 or above
  • Fully qualified Solicitor
  • Good at negotiating and debating in a calm manner
  • Can stay cool under pressure
  • Good communicator (both in writing and speaking)
  • Confident
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Excellent Attention to detail
  • 5 GCSE’s Inc Maths and English

Desirable

  • 12 months previous experience in a similar role
