Mechanical & Electrical engineers - 3+ years - Belfast

Mechanical Design Engineers & Electrical Design Engineer

 

Location – County Antrim

Experience – Intermediate Level Mechanical & Electrical Engineer

 

SUMMARY –

One of the most established M&E consulting engineering companies in Northern Ireland currently have vacancies on both the mechanical and electrical side of their engineering teams.  You will be joining a company with over 100 years in the industry of MEP Building services engineering and they are currently seeking to recruit M&E engineers with 3+ years’ experience to come into their company as a strong intermediate to aid the senior level engineers as well as to be seen as a senior to the junior engineers they have currently employed.

You will be directly involved in multi-million pound commercial, retail, residential and educational projects, establishing yourself and making your mark on these huge installations projects. At the same time, getting offered fantastic salary packages and some great benefits on the side!

 

DUTIES: (Relevant based on whether you are mechanical or electrical)

  • Perform detailed calculations establishing standards and specs
  • Provide expertise in electrical service design concepts
  • Evaluate electrical systems, products and applications by applying knowledge of electricity and materials
  • Assure product quality through suffice testing methods as well as testing finished products
  • Maintain product and company reputation
  • Contribute to team effort by completing related results
  • Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the problem arises
  • Keeping up to date with latest technical innovations in electrical engineering
  • Regular meetings with staff for reviewing
  • Assist Senior Electrical engineer when required
  • Maintain confidentiality when required
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations
  • Proficient in AutoCAD
  • Overseeing projects as they pass go through manufacturing process
  • Visiting sites to discover more detail about projects
  • Report writing and documentation
  • Agreeing budgets and timescales
  • Maintaining equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Regular meetings with staff and colleagues mainly for reviewing
  • Troubleshoot and problem solve if and when problems arise
  • Maintain company reputation
  • Keeping informed  of any new technical innovations in electrical engineering

 

 

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS (not essential):

  • Experienced using Revit
  • Degree in relevant field – (If appropriate experience is evident, those without a degree will be considered)

SALARY:

  • Negotiable dependant on experience (£25,000 – £35,000)
