Junior Recruiter Armagh Permanent

Vanrath are currently assisting their well known client in the Armagh area, who are seeking an enthusiastic individual to take on the new role of Recruitment Officer in their busy Recruitment Team.

Main Function:

  • Oversee the delivery of the day to day tasks in the absence of Recruitment Manager
  • Provide support and guidance to the Recruitment Administrators
  • Advise staff and managers on employment laws and regulations in regards to Recruitment

Recruitment

  • Manage the recruitment and selection process for candidates from vacancy through to induction, in line with minimum standards and legislative requirements ensuring that staffing projections meet the operational needs
  • Ensure that timescales are met from commencement of recruitment campaign to completion as per Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Develop and update job descriptions and employee specifications, prepare advertisements, and work in conjunction with the Recruiter to attract and recruit new staff to meet the needs of the business
  • Ensure PAMS (Personnel Administration Management Systems) and all other media platforms are accurately updated with candidates’ information as per GDPR regulations
  • Shortlist candidates as per the person specification and conduct interviews when required
  • Complete the appropriate paperwork for all staff before commencement of employment and ensure this is in line with minimum standards and best practice to include contracts of employment, disclosure checks, references, Right to Work checks, etc
  • Liaise with Training department regarding scheduling of inductions
  • Register new staff with regulatory bodies as required

Management and Reporting

  • Oversee the delivery of the day to day tasks in the absence of Recruitment Manager
  • Provide support and guidance to the Recruitment Administrators
  • Advise staff and managers on employment laws and regulations in regard to Recruitment
  • Complete weekly reports
  • Contribute to the monthly recruitment reports
  • Contribute and participate in team meetings and attend other company meetings on behalf of the Recruitment Manager/Team
  • Review, develop and implement Recruitment Policies and Procedures
  • Design and review Recruitment documents
  • Approve prospective shortlists of candidates for new positions

Person Specification

Essential

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent or evidence of working towards this level of qualification
  • Two years’ experience working in a busy HR department or Recruitment Agency with responsibility for Recruitment
  • Experience of working with a computerized HR System
  • Working knowledge of Recruitment and HR legislation requirements in Northern Ireland (e.g. Equality Commission Code of Practice)

Salary for this role is dependant on experience.
